Our Trip to Las Vegas

Las Vegas would not be our first choice of vacation destinations with 4 children but since our boys are extremely into Knights my parents were generous enough to plan a trip to attend the Tournament of Kings along with a few other fun things to fill the weekend.  We'd been talking about it for months so the kids were extremely excited.  My parents set us up at the Excalibur Hotel and we made it around to the Mirage to see the Dolphins, Lions and Tigers.  Then to Mandalay Bay for Shark Reef which was very cool, and we watched the volcano erupt at the Mirage that night.  The kids enjoyed being out and about and of course eating at the buffet! 


The Tournament of Kings was a great show.  It includes dinner but we weren't very hungry from eating at the buffet!  We sat in Hungary's section but Cole refused to cheer for anyone but the Blue Knight from France.  It was pretty funny.  Brody was scared of the Dragon Knight (which was a little scary) until after the show when he came up to us on his horse and Brody realized he was pretending!


We got to spend some time at the pool which the kids loved. They had a slide that Justin and Nik took the kids down and surprisingly it wasn't that busy.  A little warm but nice in the water!  


The kids slept great at the hotel (It was Justin that suffered the most trying to share a bed with Brody and Trace) and seemed to get enough rest.  It was a quick and nice trip. Sorry Kal and Miki...it was too quick to stop in and say hello. Maybe next time around.
