On November 20, 2010 just days after Westin was born, we attended Lee and Pat Worthen's 50th Anniversary Party. They held the festivities in Cottonwood so the weather was nice and chilly and the kids got to go on an adventure hike with dad to keep them busy. They served dinner and played a slideshow of some really great old pictures of them and their family. Lee is my dad's oldest brother, my dad being the youngest of 3 boys. They had about 50 or more people in attendance and some that came from quite a distance to be there. My aunt Pat has been of poor health recently so I'm sure was very nice of them to get the chance to see everyone.
It was especially nice for my parents because my sister and her long time boyfriend Nik were able to attend and my brother made it up from Tucson as well. It had been a long time since we'd seen my brother.
The kids did great keeping busy, eating dinner, and really being the only children in attendance. We were proud of them. We drove home and took my mom and left my dad to go home with my brother. My sister and Nik got a little hotel in Cottonwood and stayed in town then wen to breakfast with everyone the next morning. Sounded like fun!
Happy Anniversary Lee and Pat. Glad we could be there.
