Brynn Speaks

I knew this day was coming and of course fully encourage the growth of my children, but it also makes me a little sad. My precious baby girl is talking...yep talking up a storm.  There really isn't much she can't say and she will try to say or copy anything.  Her little voice is so precious and petite, just like her!!!  She's actually now putting together two word remarks like, "yes please" and "no Dog" (when speaking to a doggie she doesn't want close to her).  She's really a very observant little thing and pretty much nothing gets by her.  If you have gum, she wants gum. If the boys are dancing, she's dancing.  She is a great mimic and I think that comes from having lots of great, strong role models!  

She wakes each morning with "hi mommy" and/or "blanket" explaining to me that she is holding her blanket.  She asks for her baby every time she lays down for a nap or night time.  She wants her babies (3 of them, well a baby doll, a smurf doll and an elmo doll) and her blanket on top of her.  She blows kisses and says "ni-night" generally falling asleep with no sound or complaints.  She knows when she's tired and accepts that it is time for bed.  This is a nice change in pace from the routine with the boys, who of course thing they could stay awake for days without sleeping and would be willing to try if I left them!!!

She makes sure to let everyone know when something is hers or she thinks it is hers, generally with a big "hey" in a squeaky voice asserting her ownership over an item or location.  Especially a place on mine or daddy's lap.  She loves to do whatever the boys are doing and is getting better at keeping up with them as she gets a little more control over her body.  She knows the names of so many things and people it sometimes amazes me.  She says "hi" to just about any one and always has a big smile to share even if sometimes it is behind her sucking her finger!

There are plenty more I can add and just looking at the list, for a 22 month old, I'm amazed.  She's such a little sweat-heart, always wanting to be held and loved and tickled.  She'll just sit with you and let you hold her without having to get up.  She's happy, funny, and playful and we are so blessed to have her.
